Everyone is starring at me, taking pictures. Have they seen any Taiwanese? Well at least they probably have seen asians, I met two korean girls today in the Temple accomodation. It also happened in Delhi, but today a woman took it even further. She stopped me and asked for a photo of me. I agreed and smiled at her Nokia. Then she asked to have a photo with me. Why not? I pulled out my camera and made the same request, she had her picture, I had mine, everyone is happy.

As I walk along the street outside the Golden Temple, I draw more and more attention. Am I wearing something wrong? I really want to stop someone and ask, what is it that you're looking at? I changed my Top into a normal T-shirt, I pull it every few seconds to make sure that my fat waist doesn't come out, so I should be totally normal? At last I came to my conclusion, I'm the tallest and fatest asian woman they've ever seen.
I heard about similar stories from my sister's experience in Malawi, Africa. But I'm in India, one of the biggest countries in the world plus tourist attraction? I'm sorry but I do believe more tourists come to India than Taiwan. Amitsar, it's not Delhi but still I see foriegners everywhere in the Temple. I feel like I've booked my flight to India, to be looked at. Funny isn't it? Aren't they supposed to pay me something to have a picture of me?

For your information, I'm now staying in the Golden Temple, they provide free accomodation and vegetarian food for visitors. Food is served all day long, it tastes fantastic, and clean, since I haven't got a dieria....yet. Tomorrow I'll go to the Pakistani border to see this 20 minute ceremony of pure theatre, to show how nice the Indian and Pakistani Soldiers are with each other. Can't miss this one.


Note:
1.I asked the other foriegners, they say everyone gets the same starring. They say this is India, get used to it, charge them for a photo.
2. I will try the street food after I come down from the mountains, when I won't have to worry about the altitude sickness.
