Few weeks ago I decided to try make some bread, the Swiss "Zopf" bread. It was not bad, edible, but I forgot one fact: I don't eat bread that often. At least not at home. So I had a whole loaf laying there for a whole week, until it became hard and dry, hardly edible anymore.
Didn't know what to do with it, conplained about this to my friend Y.
Y said, "Why don't you make bread pudding?"
She's damm right, how could I forget this childhood dessert I used to make almost everyday after school? It's easy and tasty, requires only microwaving. Here is how to make it:
A big slice of toast, or some other bread that has the equivalent amount.
One cup of milk, about 200 ml
1-2 Eggs(1 if you just want a soft pudding, 2 if you want it stift enough to stand in shape, like in my photo)
Sugar about 1 table spoon, or just as much as you like
you may also add: raisons, vanilla flavor
Basicly you just soak the bread into the milk, make it soft and soggy, you might want to smash it a bit with a fork or spoon. Mix in everything else, and put it into the microwave, microwave it with the highest power for about 5 minutes. Check if the egg is totally cooked, if not, mircowave it for another couple minutes.
Enjoy your beautiful dessert.
